Things I Learned:

Ok, I still don't feel like writing out all my reviews, but there are a couple things I just HAVE to share with you guys.

- do the whole sitting-backwards-on-the-toilet-to-pee-thing, it really works!

- I had two boutonnieres made... someone sat on Ben's first one.  I had two made because I thought it might get sad during pics or hugging, either way, it was a good idea.

- the Dr. Sholl's "for her ball of foot cushions" are really really good

- tell yourself to stop all DIY projects the weekend before the wedding, even pretend the Saturday before is the wedding if you have to.  It felt really great to be done "early"!

- take dance lessons, if for nothing else than to learn how to take a good dipping picture :) and when you dip, let your arm hang down naturally if you're holding your flowers

- use marshmallow white from Gene Juarez for french manicures/pedicures!  (see "Vendor Reviews" for more)

For knotties in the Seattle area:

- Rhinestone Rosie's in Queen Anne is the best place to go for old costume jewelry - buying, fixing or selling.  She refurbished a sentimental bracelet from the 1920's/teens and made earrings out of the extra pieces for me. Tons of fun stuff if you're looking for something like that.

- and my number one BEST thing I can tell you, I found out by accident...

I didn't really know what to do for videography for the ceremony.  A couple (free) options fell through and then I felt stuck.  I know it should be important, but for some reason other things took precedence and I didn't really think about it.  I mentioned it to my sister and she suggested renting one from UW - she had done it for a class and said she could get it for me.  Then I asked a friend if he could run it and he said that was fine. I thought, if nothing else, we can dub the CD we get for free from the church over the video since I assumed it wouldn't be able to pick up our voices well (the church mic'd us and the musicians so the CD would pick that up better).

My sister calls me after the honeymoon: "Do you want the good news or the bad news?"  Naturally, I say I want the bad first. "The CD from the church is all warped sounding... BUT the video has perfect sound quality!"

*side note: the church will definitely be hearing from me about this. This is one of the largest churches in the city with top rate sound equipment and they screwed up my wedding CD.  They are SO lucky the other one turned out so well.*

Back to the video.  When I say good quality, I'm not kidding.  The church is huge and the camcorder was about halfway back in the pews and you can hear everything.  So if you know someone who is a student at UW and want to do it for free, this is a REALLY good option.
